Nagaland Governor P B Acharya and Chief Minister T R Zeliang were today inducted as the chief patron and patron respectively of the Nagaland State Bharat Scouts and Guide.
They were inducted during a formal induction and award ceremony of the Nagaland State Bharat Scouts and Guide at the Durbar Hall in Raj Bhavan here.
Taking over as the Chief Patron, Acharya said Bharat Scouts and Guides is a voluntary, non-political and educational movement for young people and scouting creates a positive environment where young people are encouraged to be self-reliant and helpful to each other and in the process built a better society.

The Governor said he was delighted that the Nagaland Bharat Scouts and Guides has chalked out 'Vision 2015' to improve youth programme, increase annual membership by 10 per cent, improve its financial status and also improve communication and public relations.
Acharya also assured to work towards improvement of the Nagaland Bharat Scouts and Guides.
