The All Nagaland Aggrieved Hindi Teachers Union (ANAHTU) today launched agitation against non-release of their pending salaries for the last six months by the state.

ANAHTU has appealed to the School Education department and Nagaland government to release their six months pending salaries with arrears.

The agitating is "an expression of resentment against the government for non-payment of salary for six months and denial of basic incentives and increments", ANAHTU said.

The agitators held banners and placards demanding early release of their pending salaries.
