As per an official notification, Governor appointed Dr Temsula as chairperson, Kakheli Jakhalu and Athrongla Sangtam as members of State Commission for Women with immediate effect.
The notification to this effect was issued recently by the government. The members of the commission are appointed for a period of three years.
Through another notification, Governor appointed Dr Atha Vizol as State Disability Commissioner under provisions of Persons with Disability Act, 1995.
The commissioner shall function as the head of State Disability Commission for a period of 6 years or till he attains the age of 62 years.
The supporting officers and staff for the Commissioner shall be initially posted on attachment basis from the Nagaland Civil Secretariat and Directorate of Social Welfare.
Atha Vizol's name was approved by the Cabinet 1st November 2012.
He is the son of former chief minister Vizol from Viswema Village under Kohima District.
