The chairman of Khatauli Nagar Panchayat, Paras Jain, has been removed following corruption charges against him, a senior official said today.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Khatauli, Vaibhav Sharma yesterday took over as chairman of Khatauli Nagar Panchayat, replacing Jain due to allegations of misappropriation of funds against the latter, he said.
On a complaint filed by some Nagar Palika members, district authorities had in a probe found Jain's alleged involvement in misappropriation of funds in development work.
