Nagpur unit of BJP today suspended 54 workers for six years as they revolted against the party after denial of tickets for the coming Municipal Corporation elections.
Those suspended included some sitting corporators too.
Some of these party workers had shouted slogans outside the houses of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and city BJP chief and MLA Sudhakar Kohale.
Kohaletold PTI that these rebel members had violated the party's rules and were contesting against the official candidates.
