The Nagpur division will achieve the revenue target of Rs 532.89 crore by the end of fiscal year, Divisional Commissioner Anoop Kumar said today.
Briefing on the statistics of the BJP-led government which completes one year in office tomorrow, Anoop Kumar said during 2014-15 the revenue collection was to the tune of Rs 457.29 crore against the target of Rs 430.98 crore.
Similarly, during the year 2013-14 the revenue target fell short and stood at 99.37 per cent. In 2014-15, it was registered at a high of 106.11 per cent, Kumar told a press conference.

He said the state government has allocated over 681 acres of land for prestigious educational institutes which include 100 acres of land to IIIT, 121 acres for Central Power Research Institute, 60 acres for National Law School, 200 acres for Indian Institute of Management, 200 acres for All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).
Besides, land has been allocated to National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) and other institutes in and around the city, he said.
Nagpur division tops in Aadhar card registrations in Maharashtra, Kumar said, adding a total of 1,09,72,380 people were registered for Aadhar card against population the total population 1,17,55,554 of Nagpur division including six districts - Bhandara, Gondia, Chandraur, Gadchiroli, Wardha and Nagpur.
On the 'Swachha Bharat' mission, the Commissioner said 206 gram panchayats out of 3,675 were declared open defecation free (ODF).
The authorities have set a target of providing toilets to remaining 54,658 families by 2019.
