Nagpur still boils at 46.6 degrees

There was some respite from scorching heat for Nagpurians today, as the mercury marginally dropped to 46.6 degree Celsius against the all-time high of 47.9, in the city yesterday.

Chandrapur recorded the highest temperature yesterday at 48.2 degree Celsius. However, the heat came down a bit today and stood at 47.3 degrees, the highest in Vidarbha.

Overall there was decrease in temperatures today across the region.

Bramhapuri recorded 46.7 degree Celsius while temperatures in other cities were: Akola -- 43.9, Yavatmal -- 43.4, Gondia -- 45.3, Washim --42.2, Wardha -- 45.5, Amravati -- 44.6, the Regional Meteorological Centre said today.
