Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu tonight congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah over their party's good show in the elections to five Assemblies.
He also congratulated them on winning power in Assam and increasing BJP's vote share and securing better results in other states (West Bengal, Kerala and Tamil Nadu).
"This indicates the growing popularity of Narendra Modi," Chandrababu observed.

The elections proved that people would vote back good governments to power, he added.
Chandrababu called his Tamil Nadu counterpart Jayalalithaa over phone and congratulated her, a release from his office said.
He had also congratulated West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee over the victory of Trinamool Congress in the Assembly elections.
"Congratulations and best wishes to Mamata Banerjee for winning in West Bengal," Chandrababu had tweeted.
Naidu also complimented the LDF over its victory in the Kerala Assembly elections.
