Close on the heels of Chhota Rajan's arrest, Parliament Affairs Minister M Venkaiah Naidu today batted for tabling in Parliament the Vohra committee report, which went into the nexus between politicians and the underworld, saying there was a growing demand for it.

"As a Parliamentary Affairs Minister, I am of the opinion that the entire report should be tabled in Parliament as it has a right to know that who are conspirators, people that are behind them (underworld)... This act should be made known to the country," he told reporters.

He, however, made it clear that it was for the Home Ministry to take a call on the issue.

Naidu said he agreed with the view that there was a growing demand for publishing the report.

"Secondly, after arrest of Chhota Rajan, people are now talking about Dawood Ibrahim and our party is making a demand for long and our government is also working hard to bring back Dawood Ibrahim," he said.

Former Home Secretary N N Vohra, who presently is Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, had headed a committee that went into the issue of the criminalisation of politics and the nexus among criminals, politicians and bureaucrats.

He had submitted the report in early 90s.
