Naidu meets Oil minister to discuss petrochemical infra in AP

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today discussed strengthening of petrochemical infrastructure in his state with Oil Minister Dharmendra Pradhan here.

Naidu said he had a lengthy discussion about a petro university, oil refinery, petro-chemical corridor and LNG terminal with Pradhan.

He said the state government has already proposed a site for establishing the university and construction will be started soon.

Classes will be started from next academic year, he said.

He hoped that downstream industries will come in a big way once the oil refinery comes to Andhra Pradesh.

Naidu also said that work for LNG terminal at Kakinada has started and also requested Pradhan to commence work for another terminal at Gangavaram port at Visakhapatnam.
