Naidu to inaugurate 250-bed Apollo Hospital in Vizag tomorrow

A super-speciality hospital of Apollo Group with 250 beds and equipped with ultra modern facilities will be inaugurated by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu here tomorrow.

This was announced by Chairman of Apollo Hospitals Pratap C Reddy at a press conference today.

The medical facility, built at Health City in Arilova with a cost of Rs 150 crore, is one of the latest and the finest additions to Apollo Hospitals Group, he said.

The 250-bed super-specialty hospital has ultra modern laboratory facilities and latest modalities for imaging and diagnostics, some of which are available for the first time in this part of the country, Reddy said.
 

The Group will establish a 100-bed cancer hospital in the same premises within six months. Currently, the Group has 11 cancer hospitals and will add nine more in the next two years. In North East, the Group will be starting a 150-bed hospital at Guwahati and add 95 beds in second stage, he said.

"Lifestyle-related ailments like cardiac diseases, cancer and diabetes were rampant in India and young people were affected by them. It was necessary to take preventive measures to control lifestyle diseases.
