Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik today suspended the registrar of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University here on the charges of financial irregularity and corruption and ordered investigation against him.
U S Tomar, registrar of the Kalam varsity (formerly UP Technical University), has been suspended by the Governor, a Raj Bhawan release issued here said.
The Governor also formed a probe committee to investigate charges of corruption and financial irregularity against Tomar, it said.
The probe committee is headed by Justice (retired) S K Tripathi, and Vice Chancellor of Ram Manohar Lohia Law University Gurdip Singh Bahari and retired IAS officer Sarvesh Chandra Mishra are its member, the release added.
