A new train was launched today between Dehradun and Kathgodam in Nainital district with the ruling BJP government terming it as a great gift to the people of the state from the Centre.
The Naini-Doon Janshatabdi Express will make it very convenient for the people of the state to travel from Dehradun to Nainital, state BJP media head Devendra Bhasin said.
"It is a great gift to the people of the state from the double engine BJP government," Bhasin said.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal, Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat,BJP MP (Rajya Sabha) Anil Baluni and Nanital MP Bhagat Singh Koshiyari should be thanked for introducing the long awaited express train between the Garhwal and Kumaon regions, Bhasin said.
Goyal launched the train via video conferencing from the Rail Bhavan.
