The thermal captive power plant of National Aluminium Company Limited (Nalco), located at Angul in Odisha, has been awarded for proactive climate change.
Nalco is implementing a pilot-cum-demonstration project on carbon sequestration in its captive power plant to reduce carbon emission by harnessing special strains of algae, the company said in a statement.

Axis Bank launches electronic signature feature * Private sector lender Axis Bank today said it will offer electronic signature facility to its customers.
The bank has tied-up with digital security firm e-Mudhra to introduce 'eSign' feature that will give customers the facility of online electronic signature.
"Axis Bank, taking its Digital Banking initiatives a step forward, has partnered with e-Mudhra Ltd to introduce 'eSign' -an online electronic signature service which facilitates an Aadhaar holder to digitally sign a document within seconds," Axis Bank said in a statement.
ESign was launched by the Government earlier this year as part of its Digital India vision.

Google adds Sindhi, 12 other languages to Translate * Search engine giant Google today said it has added Sindhi and 12 other languages to Google Translate, taking the total number of languages supported to over 100.
"By bringing more languages online with Google Translate, we hope more people can have a relevant and useful experience on the Web," Google Translate Senior Program Manager Sveta Kelman said.
Google India head invests in Smytten
* Smytten, an online discovery platform for premium lifestyle products and services, today said it has raised an undisclosed amount in funding from Google Vice President and MD South East Asia and India, Rajan Anandan.
Smytten will use the funding to enhance user experience, product development and expanding both user and brand base, the company said in a statement.
It will focus on artificial intelligence and algorithmically personalising offerings on the platform, it added.

Airbnb partners Times Group to create local presence * Airbnb today said it has partnered with Times of India Group as part of its efforts to strengthen position in the Indian travel market.
