Aluminium major NALCO's CMD Ansuman Das was honoured with the prestigious Sri Visveswaraya Award in recognition of his outstanding contributions and professional excellence.
The award instituted by Orissa Engineers' Forum was presented to Das by Odisha Industries minister Debi Prasad Mishra at the 47th Engineers Day celebration held at Cuttack yesterday, a company release said today.
A Mechanical Engineer from REC, Rourkela (Now National Institute of Technology), Das has more than three decades of professional association with Aluminium Industry and is very-well known in industry circles and holds a number of key positions in several industry associations.
He started his career with the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited and subsequently joined NALCO in 1982, the release added.
