Nalgonda again hottest in Telangana, heat wave likely

Nalgonda continued to record the highest temperature in Telangana at 44.6 degrees Celsius today, the Indian Meteorological Department said.

The town had recorded maximum temperature of 46.4 degrees Celsius yesterday.

Nalgonda was followed by the temple town of Bhadrachalam at 44.2 degrees Celsius today.

The maximum temperature went past the 40-degree mark at several other towns.

Heat wave is "very likely" to prevail at a few places in all the districts of Telangana in the next 48 hours, the IMD said.

In its forecast till tomorrow morning, the IMD said light to moderate rain or thundershowers are "very likely" at isolated places in the state.
