Nalgonda sizzles at 46.4 degrees Celsius

Nalgonda in Telangana today sizzled at 46.4 degrees Celsius, the highest maximum temperature recorded in the state, the IMD said.

Nalgonda was followed by Khammam, which recorded maximum temperature of 45.6 degrees Celsius, the Met Department said.

All the towns and cities, including state capital Hyderabad, recorded maximum temperatures of above 40 degrees Celsius, the IMD said in its daily weather report.

Heatwave conditions prevailed at different places in Adilabad, Nalgonda and Karimnagar districts, the IMD said.

In its forecast till tomorrow morning, the IMD said dry weather is very likely to prevail over Telangana.

"Maximum temperature is likely to be above normal by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius at a few places in the state," it said.
 

The IMD warned that heatwave conditions are very likely to prevail at isolated places in all the districts of Telangana.
