The 23-year-old Nalini, is among the 154 players, who will play the first stage pre-qualifying round.

The players have been divided into two groups of 77 players each from which the top 45 and ties will move to the final stage.

The first stage is being played from December 6 to 9 and then the five-round final stage will be played from December 13 to 17.

"I have played one practice round and a bit more and I am feeling confident," said Nalini, who was the top Indian pro at the Indian Open.

This season she is lying third on the domestic Order of Merit and has won one title. She has been paired with Amanda Strang and Lauren Blease.

After nine days of competitive golf, the top 30 players and ties will earn Category 8a membership of the Ladies European Tour, enabling them to play the majority of the events on the 2013 LET calendar. Last year India's Sharmila Nicollet came through this grueling two-stage qualifier.

There are competitors from 35 different nationalities and the Pre-Qualifying will be played at the Al Maaden Golf Resort and Almekis Golf Club.

Those who do not make the cut at the Pre-qualifers will be eligible for membership in Category 12b.
