Nanded Gurdwara Board president and BJP MLA in Maharashtra Sardar Tara Singh today met Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and invited him to a religious event here on October 31.
The event is in connection with the 'Jagruti Yatra' being organised across the country on the occasion of 350th birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh, a release from the Chief Minister's office said.
Rao responded positively to the request, it said.
Tara Singh lauded communal harmony in Telangana and appreciated that a Sikh leader is Mayor of a corporation in the state (Ravinder Singh in Karimnagar), the release added.
