Senior BJP leader and Khandwa MP, Nandkumar Singh Chouhan was today appointed as the president of Madhya Pradesh unit of BJP.
"The appointment was announced by the BJP national president Amit Shah in New Delhi," said state media in-charge Dr Hitesh Bajpai.
Chouhan, whose name has been doing rounds for quite sometime in this regard, has replaced current state unit chief Narendra Singh Tomar, the Union Minister for Steel and Mines.
Tomar, an MP from Gwalior, had expressed a desire to vacate the state president's post after becoming the union minister.
