An alleged narcotic smuggler has been arrested and two kgs of poppy straw recovered from his possession in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said today.
Police intercepted Vakesh Kumar at a naka at Panthal in Katra belt of the district yesterday, they said.
During a search, two kgs of poppy straw were recovered from his possession, police said, adding that Kumar has been arrested.
A case under NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) Act has been registered against him and further investigation is on.
