BSF troops today seized six packets of narcotic drugs, a pistol and ammunition from an area along the Indo-Pak border.
Officials said the seizure was made early this morning by a Border Security Force patrol from the Bhikiwind sector of the Amritsar frontier.
The seized items included six packets of heroin, a pistol and a loaded magazine which was placed inside a pipe by suspected smugglers, a senior official said.
The BSF is on alert along the border in view of the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls in the country.
