Narcotics seized in J&K's Samba district; 3 held

Three alleged drug peddlers were arrested and narcotics seized from their possession in two different places in Jammu and Kashmir's Samba district today.

Acting on a tip-off, the police arrested a dhaba owner and seized 350 gm of poppy straw, 1,800 tablets of lomotil and 88 capsules of spasmo proxyvon plus from his possession in Pallah Morh area in the district, a police officer said.

A case has been registered against the accused and investigations initiated, he said.

In another incident, the police arrested two alleged drug peddlers from Vijaypur area of the district and seized 30 gm of heroin from their possession, the officer said.
 

A case has been registered in this regard and further investigation taken up, he added.
