NCB sleuths have seized about 57 kg of narcotic drugs and arrested four people for allegedly running a drug smuggling racket to international locations in the US and Canada.

The Delhi zonal unit of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) conducted the operation yesterday and seized a total of 57.5 kg of psychotropic substances (narcotics) from various locations in the national capital.

Four people, including a Nigerian citizen, have been arrested in connection with the case registered under the stringent provisions of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS).

According to sources, the members of the alleged drug syndicate used to send the couriers by concealing and packing them as food items like oats, milk powder and health drinks.

Few other people of the syndicate have been detained by the authorities and further probe is on, they said.
