The famous and extravagant life of Monaco found resonance in designer Narendra Kumar's winter-festive collection, which was a homage to the Mediterranean country.
"The Monaco Dairies" line was a collaboration between Tourism Monaco and Narendra, who took cues from the latest fad of destination weddings among new age brides and grooms and translated it into a full-fledged line.
"The collection is set against the high life of Monaco, floral feminity, a first for me dominates my garments. It is about destination weddings. The sunny brunches, sangeet cocktails and the grand wedding. I think modern bride and grooms are changing, so the silhouettes are changing as per their needs," Narendra told PTI.

Elaborate cocktail gowns, tailored day-dresses and structured jackets were the highlight of the line. The day to night lifestyle was reflected in the graduation of colours- beginning with corals, lavenders, mint, and progressing on to deeper hues of purple, midnight blues and burgundy.
Customised floral prints adorned the luxurious fabrics such as sheer organza, silk, taffeta and light weight georgettes.
"The style and elegance of Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly and the architectural photography of Jean Loup Sieff has inspired the line. It is all about old-world charm, it is modern. It is elegant and through this I am trying to take you away from the daily humdrums of life and transporting you to a bygone era," the designer said.
Prints played an important role for the bridal couple's wardrobe and florals were the centre of attraction in varying sizes and patterns and appeared sporadically through the collection.
Narendra, known for his intricate detailing and extensive work on menswear, has introduced a new colour palette of fresh sorbet hues and jacquard jackets.
