Narendra Modi woos industrialists from West Bengal

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today invited prominent industrialist from West Bengal to explore business opportunities in his home state.

The meeting was attended by industrialists like M K Jalan of Keventer group, C S Nopany of K K Birla group, G P Goenka and Srivardhan Goenka of Duncan-Goenka group, K K Bangur, Deepak Jalan, Sunil Kanoria and Sajjan Bhajanka mong others.

Emerging from the meeting, they told reporters that the discussions were very fruitful in nature and Modi had invited them to explore the opportunities in Gujarat.

Jalan of Keventer group said Modi was a very far-sighted leader and had a very clear thinking process.
 

"He was aware of the details of Keventer's presence in Gujarat. I am surprised to see that," Jalan said.

Harsh Neotia, Sanjay Budhia and Sanjeev Goenka were among the major absentees.

An interactive session earlier was jointly organised by Indian Chamber of Commerce, MCC Chamber of Commerce and Bharat Chamber of Commerce.
