Narnaul hottest at 41.8 deg C in Haryana & Punjab

Maximum temperatures hovered above normal in Haryana and Punjab today with Narnaul being the hottest place in the two states with a high of 41.8 degrees Celsius.

Hisar sizzled at 41.1 degrees Celsius, four above normal, the MeT Department said here.

Karnal and Ambala also recorded above normal maximum temperatures at 39 and 38 degrees Celsius respectively.

Mercury in Chandigarh settled at 37 degrees Celsius, two notches above normal, it said.

In Punjab, Ludhiana and Patiala recorded identical maximum temperatures at 38.5 degrees Celsius each, the weatherman said.

Amritsar registered a high of 37 degrees Celsius, four degrees above normal. The weather is likely to remain dry in the two states for the next two days, a MeT forecast said.
