Narnaul in Hryana, Adampur in Punjab coldest

Narnaul in Haryana and Adampur in Punjab turned out to be the coldest places in the two states today, as cold weather conditions continued to prevail in the region.

While Narnaul recorded a minimum temperature of 5.5 degrees Celsius, three notches down against the normal limit, Adampur also recorded below the normal low at 5.6 degrees Celsius.

Among other places in Punjab, Amritsar, too, had a cold night recording a minimum of 7.7 degrees Celsius while Ludhiana settled at 8.7 degrees Celsius, a Meteorological official said here.

Halwara and Patiala recorded a low of 7.6 degrees Celsius and 9.5 degrees Celsius, respectively.
 

Pathankot recorded a low of 7.8 degrees Celsius while Bathinda's minimum settled at 8.2 degrees Celsius.

Chandigarh, the common capital of the two states, experienced a cold night at 8.6 degrees Celsius.

Cold weather conditions also swept Karnal and Rohtak in Haryana, with both places recording respective minimum temperature of 7.5 degrees Celsius and 6.7 degrees Celsius.

The minimum temperature at Hisar dropped by four notches against normal at 6.4 degrees Celsius.

Ambala recorded a low of 10.2 degrees Celsius.
