Another woman has come forward to accuse disgraced producer Harvey Weinstein of rape, joining a growing list of women who have opened up about the Hollywood mogul's history of sexual harassment and misconduct.
Actor Natassia Malthe told reporters that Weinstein allegedly raped her in a London hotel room in 2008, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The Norwegian-born actor, who made the accusation at a press conference with her attorney Gloria Allred, said she first met Weinstein at a Baftas after-party.
Malthe said Weinstein asked her which hotel she was staying at which she told him. Afterwards, the producer barged into the room and gloated about the celebrities with whom he had slept with.
"He said that he could give me a part in an upcoming film, with the implication being that I had to sleep with him in order to get it," she said.
When she rejected his advances, he raped her.
"I believe I dissociated during the time he was having sex with me. I played dead," she added.
Malthe said that after the incident Weinstein did not contact her but sent the script for the film musical "Nine" which The Weinstein company was producing.
Malthe said that she later met Weinstein at a hotel in Los Angeles to discuss a film role but when she arrived, she was pressured to have a threesome but she rejected the offer and left.
Meanwhile, Allred called the creation of "a substantial fund which would be held in trust" to compensate any victims of Weinstein.
"Many of Harvey's victims may be without a legal remedy because so much time has passed since they were victimised, but the shame and anguish that Harvey's many victims experienced and the harm that his acts have caused to their careers and health continue and must be addressed," said Allred.
Weinstein has been fired from the company he co-founded with his brother Bob after the New York Times did a detailed expose of Weinstein's alleged sexual misconduct.
More than 50 women, including celebrities such as Lupita Nyong'o, Lena Headey, Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie and Cara Delevingne, have come forward since the October 5 report.
