The four-day 14th National beach volleyball championship for men and women will be held from March 28 to 31 at the R K beach here.
Around 100 men and 60 women volleyball players from various states will take part in the championship, being held for the first time in the city, State Infrastructure and Investments, and Sports Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao told reporters here today.
The top four teams will be considered for participating in the Asian beach volleyball tour and championship for 2013, he said.

Andhra Pradesh state beach volleyball team selections were in process and the final team would be announced shortly.
The district association is also planning to hold the international beach volleyball in September this year, Rao said.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy is keen to encourage various sports in the state and make it a sports capital, said Rao.
He added that the state government has already decided to construct sports stadium in every mandal and create necessary infrastructure to identify the talented youth.
