Opposition National Conference (NC) leaders today called on Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra here and expressed "serious concerns" over the situation in the Valley following a spate of attacks in Sopore.
A delegation of NC leaders comprising party general secretary, Ali Mohammad Sagar, provincial president Kashmir, Nasir Aslam Wani and senior leaders Mohammad Akbar Lone and Javed Ahmad Dar, met Vohra at the Raj Bhavan, an official spokesman said.
The delegation conveyed the party's serious concerns about the deteriorating law and order situation in the Valley to the Governor, particularly in North Kashmir in the aftermath of a spate of attacks in Sopore, he said.
The NC delegation also complained about "withdrawal of personal security" of party members, the spokesman added.
