Organising Committee chairman of the 34th National Games, S M Hashmi, and former Sports Director P C Mishra were today arrested by sleuths of the Jharkhand Vigilance Bureau, a senior police officer said here.
Additional Director General of Police (Vigilance) Niraj Sinha said Hashmi and Mishra were arrested in connection with the 34th National Games scam.
The Vigilance Bureau has been investigating the scam pertaining to alleged financial irregularities in the purchase of equipment and other expenditure incurred to host the 2012 Games in Jharkhand.
