National Law Conference in Jaipur from April 18

A two-day national conference on dispensation of justice and challenges posed by new and emerging trends in law will be held here, where land acquisition laws would also be discussed.

Supreme Court judge Jagdish Singh Khehar will preside over the inaugural ceremony of the National Law Conference (NALCO), Chairman of Bar Council of Rajasthan, Ashok Mehta told reporters today.

The conference will start on April 18.

Union Minister of Law and Justice D V Sadananda Gowda will deliver the valedictory address, besides, judges of high courts, lawyers, law teachers, and NGOs will attend the two days of deliberations, he said.
 

Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court Sunil Ambwani has also given his consent for participation, he said.

Seven major topics including land acquisition laws: balancing interests; criminal justice: trend of shifting burden on accused; role of media in administration of justice; legal education and professional ethics, and role of information technology in dispensation of justice will be taken up by experts for deliberations, he said.
