A National science museum with a planetarium, on par with the one in Hong Kong, would soon be built at the foothills of this temple town, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said here today.

"The science museum, housing a planetarium and other science-related structures, will come up in about 150 acres of land close to the foot of Tirumala hills and will be on par with the one in Hong Kong," he told reporters here.

Its outward appearance would be like a seven dome shaped complex, resembling the sacred seven hills of Lord Venkateswara, he said.

Naidu said he would be visiting Delhi sometime this month to invite Prime Minister Narendra Modi to inaugurate the five-day 104th Indian Science Congress on January 3 at Sri Venkateswara University here, during which time he would also request him to lay foundation for the Museum buildings here to mark the science congress occasion, he added.
