A national conference on Next Generation Electronics will be held here from January 16 to discuss various topics and challenges concerning the field.
"The theme of the conference is Next Generation Electronics. With the consensus to work with the intelligent smart electronics systems, we are heading towards the evolution of Next Generation Electronics," said Vijay Bedekar, chairman of Vidya Prasarak Mandal (VPM) which is organising the two-day event.
He underlined CMOS technology limitations, inadequate battery life, communication channel security, mobility with performance reliability, biological signal sensing, communication and networking, e-waste management etc. As some of the challenges being faced by contemporary electronics.
Organising Secretary of the conference Kirti Agashe, HOD, Industrial Electronics, said topics like solid-state technologies and devices, communication, networking and signal processing, green electronics, bio-electronics, smart electronics, sensors and applications, and electronics for strategic areas will be deliberated upon during the two-day event.
Presentations will be made by organisations like ISRO, IIT Bombay, BARC, NPCL, Civil Aviation, Indian Navy, Griffith University Australia, Aston University, Birmingham.
Dr. YVN Krishna Murthy, Director of Indian Institute of Remote Sensing, Dehradun will deliver key note address on Next Generation Electronics.
Prof. Geoff Tansley, Head of Griffith School of Engineering, Griffith University, Australia, will speak on automatic control of implantable rotary blood pumps.
Dr. Mark prince, lecturer, Mechanical Engineering and Design, Aston University, Birmingham, UK, will speak on particle manipulation in micro-fluidic systems for synchrotron imaging, Agashe said.
