"I'll write to the external affairs ministry to expedite the investigation into the case," Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik told reporters here after the slain student's father alleged that the central government was not taking up the matter sincerely.

Seshadri's father K Sudhakar Rao said, "Though 10 days have already passed since killing of my son, the Boston police have failed to nab the culprits. The Boston police have been saying from day one that they have got clue.

"If police have got clue, why are not the killers arrested," he asked seeking state and central government's intervention into the matter.

He also appealed to the Boston police to give him justice.

"My son was a brilliant student. I suspect he became a victim to the jealousy of others," he said.
