Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today emerged as the most sought after politician in the state having above half-a-million followers on the microblogging site Twitter.
Patnaik is closely followed by Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan having 4.56 lakh followers and BJD MP Baijayant Panda's 2.7 lakh followers.
"The CM's twitter followers crossed a major milestone with half-a-million followers today, one of the most popular in terms of growth and activities," a communication received from the chief minister's office said.
Patnaik had joined the microblogging site on September 09, 2015 with @Naveen_Odisha handle. His first tweet was?Jai Jagannath??
Patnaik followed 14 persons including West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Benerjee and Union Minister Suresh among others.
Besides twitter, Patnaik too handles a Facebook account and Instagram.
