Three persons, including the son of a Navy official, were arrested in connection with robberies in Hauz Khas and Ghaziabad, police said today.

Shashank Singh Rajput (22), whose father is a Navy official, Keshav Sharma and Bobby Sinhotra were arrested for looting a businessman's car at gunpoint in Ghaziabad and then robbing Abhisek Bhagat, the sales manager of a prominent mall in south Delhi, of his phone, wallet and other valuables near AIIMS on November 15, they said.

"Rajput is a resident of Aligarh and is the son of a navy official posted at Rashtrapati Bhavan. He has been previously booked in 22 cases of loot. While his aides Keshav and Bobby are residents of Vijay and New Usmanpura, respectively," said Deputy Commissioner of Police (south) BS Jaiswal.

Preliminary investigation revealed that after robbing the manager, two of the accused had tried to withdraw money from his account through an ATM in the AIIMS area. The CCTV footage of the ATM booth was examined and Keshav Sharma was identified and simultaneously arrested, he said.

On further investigation, Shashank and Bobby were also arrested.

Shashank is also wanted in a case of assault reported from the Narayana area on September 22, police said.
