The Centre has adopted a multi -pronged strategy to tackle Naxalism, which may not exist after a couple of years, Union Minister of State for Home Haribhai Choudhary said today.
"In the last three years, there is an overall 30 per cent decline (in Naxal-related incidents). From 108 districts (affected by Maoist insurgency), it is limited to 10-15 districts. I would like to assure you that in the next one or two years, there will be no Naxalism in the country," he told reporters here.
Choudhary, however, hastened to add that no time-frame can be given to get rid of Naxalism, but it would be fully controlled once the process begins.
