Two persons were killed allegedly by a group of Naxals in two separate incidents in the past three days, police said today.

In the first incident, the ultras murdered a 23-year-old youth Sobu Gota from village Gaderi in Etapalli taluka on February 14, a release issued by Gadchiroli police said today.

Gota was forcibly taken away from his house and then killed, it added.

In another incident, a 40-year-old man Chanti Gorgunda from village Patagudam in Sironcha taluka was also killed by Naxalites on February 15.

The rebels called Chanti out from his residence when he was taking his meals in the night. After some time, he was shot dead, police said, adding they killed him as they suspected him to be a police informer.

One of his cousin is working with the Gadchiroli police.

A case under relevant sections of IPC has been registered and efforts are on to nab the ultras, they said.
