Nayasaily Tea Garden reopens after being closed for two months

The Nayasaily Tea Garden in Jalpaiguri district which had closed down after Durga Puja festival in October this year, reopened today, said INTTUC trade union leader Mohan Sharma.

Around 1850 workers of the tea garden joined their respective duties.

"The administratuion is also happy that the tea garden has reopened after two months and so many people have got their jobs back," Mukta Arya, the district magistrate of Jalpaiguri said.

The tea garden situated in Nagrakata block of the district had closed down soon after the Durga Puja festival due to dispute over bonus payments, Mohan Sharma said.

"All including the unions welcomed the decision," he said.
