Stand-up comedian Jim Jefferies will star as a fictionalised version of himself in NBC pilot "Jefferies".
Jefferies will also write and executive produce along the multi-cam pilot with Suzanne Martin, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
His character is described as a "comedian with a unique and often controversial take on modern life, relationships and co-parenting with his best friend".
Universal Television, Hazy Mills and Brillstein Entertainment Partners will produce the pilot.
Sean Hayes, Todd Milliner, Tim Sarkes and Alex Murray will serve as executive producers.
