NBSTC MD C Murugan lodged the FIR at Kotowali police station after senior officials drew his attention to the fake signatures last night after getting a few fake appointment letters, the police said.

He informed the matter to the state transport secretary BP Gopalika and other members of the board of directors of NBSTC.

The fake appointment letters were signed on October 12 to appoint people for contractual jobs. They were asked to join on November 2, officials said.

Murugan said, "No such letter was issued by NBSTC and my signatures in the letters were fake.

On inquiry it was known that no one reported for the job at any of the depots of the corporation, he said.
