Judicial Magistrate Ram Bilas has directed the police to produce the SP MLA from Pratapgarh, Sadar Nagendra Yadav alias Munna, who is at large, within two weeks, sources said.
Satish Tiwari, a resident of Banda village in the district, was allegedly attacked by Yadav in Anti Bazar on February 25, 1997.
Later, the police submitted the chargesheet in the case. However, the MLA never appeared before the court.
