NC appoints new office bearers for Kashmir Province

Opposition National Conference working president Omar Abdullah today appointed new office bearers for high-level committees in three zones of Kashmir Province.

Omar, along with NC's general secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar, also appointed new district presidents and vice presidents for Pulwama, Ganderbal and Kulgam Districts.

MLA Sonawari Mohammad Akbar Lone has been appointed as the president for the Valley's North Zone while Mir Saifullah has been appointed as the senior vice president for the zone.

Former minister Sakina Ittoo has been appointed as the president for South Zone while Ghulam Nabi Ratanpuri has been appointed as the senior vice president.

Ali Mohammad Dar has been appointed as the president for Central Zone while Ghulam Qadir Pardesi has been appointed as the senior vice president for the zone.
 

MLA Homeshalibug Abdul Majeed Bhat (Larmi) has been appointed as the district president for Kulgam, MLA Ganderbal Mohammad Ishfaq Jabaar will head the Ganderbal district while Ghulam Mohiuddin Mir will be the NC's president of Pulwama.

Omar asked the party leaders to increase rapport with the public and ensure that the party structure at the grassroots level is strengthened and enhanced.

A party spokesman said Omar will seek regular inputs from the new zone office bearers about the status of strengthening the party base in their respective zones.
