Press Trust of India Jammu
National Conference (NC) today exhorted party workers to intensify public relations in the state's remote areas before the 2014 Jammu and Kashmir polls.

"We need to strengthen the party and workers need to reach out to people in far flung and remote areas to help solve their grievances," NC leader Devender Singh Rana said at the party's delegate session at Surankot in Poonch district.

He accused opposition People's Democratic Party (PDP) of indulging in "divisive" politics saying the party was misleading people on several issues.

"In its tenure, PDP had failed to check corruption," he said.

Rana, the provincial president of NC, and his team is on a week-long visit to the border district of Poonch.
