Ruling National Conference (NC) today hit out at disruptive and communal elements in Jammu and Kashmir and exhorted people to maintain unity against divisive forces.
NC Provincial President Devender Singh Rana accused BJP and PDP of dividing people on communal and regional lines.
"They have been hand in glove in exploiting situations, like the one in Kishtwar district recently, in a bid to flare up passions and polarise the people on religious and regional lines," he said at a function here.
"NC foiled these attempts with the cooperation of people of Kashmir and Jammu, and will continue to do so whenever the singular entity of the state is threatened," he said.
