"There has been open violation of Model Code of Conduct by the ruling NC-Congress ministers, MLCs, MLAs and government officials. They are misusing their authority to muster support for candidates," BJP MLA and former state president Ashok Khajuria told reporters here.
Citing examples, Khajuria alleged that ministers were inaugurating new roads and taking part in functions.
Complaints of violation have been made to Chief Election Commission and Returning Officer in the state, he said.
Government officials are also "misusing" Gram Sevak and BDOs who are engaged in election campaigning while the Panches and Sarpanches are left as mute spectators, he said.
