A senior National Conference leader and former legislator escaped unhurt along with his family in a grenade attack by suspected militants at his house in Shopian district of south Kashmir, police said today.
Unidentified militants hurled the grenade at the residential place of Sheikh Mohammad Rafi at village Kachdoora, 50 km from here, late last night, a police official said.
He said the grenade landed on the lawns of the heavily-guarded house and exploded without causing any damage.
