Several activists of youth wing of National Conference today held a protest rally here against the new recruitment policy of the Jammu and Kashmir government and demanded its immediate roll back.

Led by YNC provincial president Surinder Singh Bunty, the activists raised slogans against the decision and cautioned the government to withdraw it on immediate basis.

Addressing the activists, Bunty said the decision is a covert move to politicise the recruitments which will jeopardies the career of youths. He said this will also lead to corruption and nepotism on a massive scale in the state.

"What an irony that the appointees will have to work at the whims and fancies of politicians and unscrupulous elements," he said, adding that what if the performance of some of the appointees shall not be found satisfactory.

"Will they be shunted out", he asked and said this amounts to give a hammer to the controlling officers who can take disadvantage of their prerogative of declaring the appointees' performance satisfactory or unsatisfactory.

He urged the youths to get ready for a big struggle to prevail upon the government for withdrawing the order on immediate basis.
